Outside the house

Patients often share the difficulties their child faces complying with this diet at school, college, while eating out, on holidays or even during business lunches. For special occasions

Our interactions with our patients tell us that it is on such occasions when parents give in and children do not comply with their diet.

  • One needs to plan in advance, identify the child’s favorite dishes, carry them and be ready to not only say No to the child but also make some compromises oneself while eating in front of the child.
  • It is unrealistic to expect others to be aware of the need to follow this diet strictly. You should be ready to refuse for any gluten laden product politely.
  • Your consistent compliance will help the child and others understand about the importance of compliance and may over time even encourage others to help you with gluten free dishes for your child.
